Project Brief
We began working with our clients a couple of years before they purchased their first home, beginning with a few key pieces of furniture and artwork that would lay the foundation for their eventual move. Once they purchased their 1950's home in the lovely Garden Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, we tagged along to help them freshen up the existing architectural features and layer in their personalities through new furnishings, wall and window treatments, lighting, artwork, and accessories.
Our Approach
We studied each space, observing the natural light, circulation, and existing architectural features. We discussed their lifestyle and design preferences, which led us to focus on ergonomics, comfort, quirky simplicity, scale and entertaining as key considerations. There is a delightful balance of vintage, custom, re-purposed, made-to-order, and off-the-shelf pieces layered in each space (from ceiling to floor). And importantly, there is room to breathe and to continue layering in personal effects, artwork, and found treasures over time.
